SecureZip

JulieCool Software

SecureZip My 400 gig external hard drive has almost my whole internet computer life on it. Such as sensitive documents like my taxes, notes from my divorce, scanned documents, and banking information. It also has very important personal items to me like photos of my kids, my wedding, my pets, my journal that I keep that doesn’t get published on the internet, and homework projects that the kids have done over the years.

If you’re like me all this data is super important to you, and the sensitive documents need special care and attention. www.securezip.com is offering a free download of their Secure ZIP software for a limited time. It is a great solution for protecting email messages and attachments, as well as data stored on hard-drives, laptops, and portable media.

It also has a nice integrated feature with Microsoft Outlook will automatically protect your email messages and email attachments that you send to friends, your doctor, your lawyer, etc. All those very important and sensitive documents safely transfered without the fear of having someone other than the recipient reading them, by encrypting, digitally sign, and zipping them up.

Currently you can download a free copy of SecureZip. If you have a small business this is ideal for you also. All your data will be safe, and not fall into the hands of the wrong person.

As Seen On TV

JulieCool Products

Okay, I’ll admit it. I love everything about the “As seen on TV” items. I have even been known to order them often. Normally this happens at about 3AM when I can’t sleep. It’s like my birthday when they come, because I totally forget that I ordered them. The last purchase I made was the Miracle Blade knives. They really are not so miraculous. Well not like they were at 3AM anyway.

There are some hot new products for 2007 that I must put on my list to buy.

Oh and don’t forget about Dr Franks Pain Relief. I haven’t tried this one yet, but Dr. Frank is looking rather sexy in his 80’s style bushy mustache.

Collaborative Blogging

Are you old enough to remember the KISS Army? I’m talking about the original one way back in the late 70’s. Of course I had to sign up, and get all the gear they sent out once a month. Man I wish I still had all that fun stuff.

Well now that I’m all grown up, I’ve become a member of the Linky Love Army. It’s a group of bloggers that have formed a little collaborative blogging community, and it’s growing stronger and stronger by the day.

Google Reader Needs To Be More User Friendly

JulieCool Sites

I just finished doing some major organizing of my Google Reader. Renaming subscriptions was a breeze. Like feeds.feedburner.com/InternetSeriousBusiness easily was renamed to Jimi. feeds.feedburner.com/OnlyNetwork was renamed to Owen - Only Network. It took some time, but it was very easy to do.

I must say they really don’t make it easy to rename folders/tags. In fact, I can’t even figure it out! There’s no right click rename. There is nothing in Folder Settings other than a sort feature. There is no going into the Manage Subscriptions, Choosing Tags, and renaming.

What am I missing? Can someone tell me how to do this?

Understanding Google Analytics

JulieCool Web Dev & SEO

Google Analytics

Google Analytics can be a great tool to get an idea on your web sites traffic amount, and where it’s coming from. It can be used to enhance your site and improve your ROI, and converting your traffic into sales. It does go into some great detail though, and some business owners may not have the time or the energy to sit down and learn all about it. That is where Google analytics consultants come in. They have three packages to choose from based on your needs.

  • Basic Google Analytics Setup Package: This package applies to small to medium sized sites with no e-commerce, and no need for content group analysis. It is the most economical way to have a professional installation of Google Analytics, as well as get some one-on-one time with some experts who will train you to read your reports and decode the information that matters to your business.
  • Google Analytics e-Commerce Setup Package: This package is the same as the basic setup package, but it also contains the configuration of the Google e-Commerce Tracking Module, which will keep detailed information on each transaction that occurs on your site, and cross reference that information with invaluable information such as the origin of each transaction for example.
  • Advanced Google Analytics Setup Package: This package is the same as the e-Commerce Setup package, but it also contains the creation of content groups. These are made possible through the use of advanced filters. Sites which sell advertising can benefit tremendously from content analysis, and content groups are the only way to get the kind of information necessary to determine which kinds of contents are visitors spending time reading.

You can read more about each package by clicking on the package name.

You Can’t Always Get What You Want

JulieCool Products

Well maybe you can now with the Bill Wymann Signature Metal Detector. Bill Wyman is best known for his bass playing in this small band you’ve probably never heard of called The Rolling Stones. Oh you know them? Okay then! Maybe he’s planning ahead, with ways to find Keith Richards when he’s passed out somewhere. Needles are metal right?

Do you remember when I wrote about the possibility of the Google Phone coming out? Well it looks like the rumors are starting to become reality. The latest talk on the town is that Google hooked up with the Taiwan manufacturer HTC (High Tech Computer) to manufacture the new phones, said to be launched worldwide at the end of 2007. I am so buying one, will you?
