Even with your hand safely shielded by a plastic bag, bending over and picking up dog crap is gross and nasty. Now you can just catch it before it hits the ground with the Sha-Poopie.

All you do is shove it under your dogs butt and catch it if you can. I’m not a dog owner, but I’m sure this would come in useful. I think it’s totally ridiculous looking, and I would be afraid of being laughed at while at the dog park. All the other dogs would call your dog names, and not let him play with them. Really.

LOL that might actually be embarrassing to me, and I pick up dog poop all the time.

My dog seems to be self concious when he poo’s. I don’t think he wants me sticking a toilet under his butt.

My dog would freak out and move!

I’m not a dog owner myself, but even though this thing looks silly, I think it would still be better than picking up dog poo.

Yup, this is the kind of thing that makes me feel better about not having a dog. And I love dogs!

I always laugh when I see people holding a piece of paper behind their dog when they go poop. Let them poop in your own yard and run it over with a lawn mower…lol

I can stop laughing. I’ve never seen nothing like that. I think it will be quite odd to walk around grabbing that, but ok save the planet.

I might be wrong, but I think the guy who invented this was on Greatest American Inventions a couple of seasons ago. He didn’t make it through the first round, I don’t think, but I remember that name. That would be cool if some of those inventions on that show still go off the ground even though they “didn’t win”.

Carolyn~ Oh really? That is cool!

I actually own one of these so I feel compelled to offer my educated opinion on this product.
By the way, the Sha-Poopie retracts into itself so its only about 8 inches long when fully closed.
There are disposable liners to go with it which are made from all recycled materials.
Personally, I own a lab with digestive problems and the only way to pick up his messes was to shovel his loose stools with a garden trowel into a garbage bag.
There IS NO better way of dealing with disposing of dog poop.
I also own 2 small dogs and all 3 of my dogs use this daily and from day-one have not had a problem with me using it.
Dog’s don’t SIT on the ground to poop and there is usually a good amount of space in which to discreetly place it behind the dog without him even knowing you’re doing it while he goes.
I’ve heard people call this a product for lazy people but the truly lazy people, as one poster mentioned, is leaving it in your yard and grounding it up in the grass with the lawn mower where your children play and people go barefoot all the time which is certain to spread diseases from the germs quite rapidly.
This is responsible dog ownership… plain and simple.
It’s a one-time investment for the Sha-Poopie and I pay $8 once a month to buy liners for it which I more than happily do.
I feel that it paid for itself many times over just from the trouble its saved me.
I carry it with me everywhere I go with my dogs and the only comments I get are people stopping to ask me where I got it and how THEY can get one.
Mine works great and I’ve not had any bad experiences with it.
If you want to buy one to try it for yourselves go to:

Who knows, maybe you’ll find you and your dog like it after you’ve ACTUALLY USED IT.
Sincerely,
Lauren
