Have you guys played around with your new iGoogle Personalized Homepage yet? Sometime last week I noticed that Michael had an iGoogle icon on his homepage. I didn’t have one on mine, so I looked into it more today. It ended up being that the “City Scape” theme I was using, didn’t display it. Once I changed to the “Seasonal Scape” theme I saw it. I played around with a couple of cool features that I would like to share with you.
The first one is Web History. Once you click on it, it will prompt you for your password, and then you have to turn on the history to view it. It’s really cool as it shows you a quick glance of all you searched, including thumbnails of images that you searched. You can also sort by Web, Images, News, Products, Sponsored Links, Products, and Maps. So when you are trying to remember something you searched for online, it’s all there, and searchable by month, date, and even year.

The next thing I played with was the Create your own gadget and share it with friends. It’s all the way down at the bottom of your personalized home page. The first thing I made was a GoogleGram for Michael. They are virtual gifts and messages that you create, then send to your friends Gmail account. They then can view it, and put it on their personalized homepage. I set it to change a new message, with a new picture everyday.

It’s really pretty cool, and there are several other features to check out.
