    Vontoo - Voice Marketing
    08 30th, 2007

Vontoo - Voice Marketing Currently at my job, we have been toying around with the idea of automatic dialers. You know the phone calls that you get from a computer that tells you to stay on the line for a very important message type of thing. I’m not completely sold on the idea, because I usually hang up when I get these kind of calls.

Our dialer is targeted towards people who want these types of calls though, so I do think in the end it will be successful. I just wish I would have known about Vontoo before we spent all the money we did on the computer and software. Now this is the way to go. Voice messaging, without all the extra hardware and software that we had to purchase.

Vontoo voice messaging allows businesses to create, send, and track voice messages. It gets your companies message out to the people that want to hear it. The people that it calls are all opt-in clients, and it won’t interfere with the Do Not Call Registry that gets so many companies in trouble. All the people are checked against this list before ever being entered into the Vontoo system.

Here is what one customer had to say about their success with using the Vontoo voice messaging system…

Using the player’s voice was the key. The message boards lit up with fans saying how much they loved getting a phone call.

    Memphis Grizzlies

Yes, that’s right! They used some of the player’s recorded voices to get the fans interested. Isn’t that a wonderful idea? I would love to give this company a try, and I’m going to email my boss this link, just to see if he wants to try something different. We could have saved sooooo much money if I had only found them sooner.

Alive Blog Directory It seems everyone has a blog these days. Even the household pet has a blog. But just because you have a blog doesn’t mean people are going to find it. You’ve got to promote it by submitting it to the search engines, and in the blog directories that are on the internet.

One blog directory called Alive has an enormous category section you can choose from, and it also offers you the choice of submitting deep links within your blog. Pimp My Stroller
    08 28th, 2007

Awhile back, my friend showed me the site Baby Loves Disco so I just had to share it with all the other mommies that I know. If I had a baby, they’d be all up in the disco thing, busting John Travolta moves.

One of the mommies I shared it with, Laura signed up for their newsletter even. Just yesterday they sent one out with this HILARIOUS video in it. Watch it! You’ll laugh!

I can’t roll in that stroller!

recycle old cell phones This weekend seemed to bring out my productivity side, and I got tons of things done around the house. Cleaning out closets, sorting through drawers, and just generally getting rid of the clutter. One of the drawers in my foyer table seemed to have a lot of interesting stuff in it. It seems to be the catch drawer for old cell phones.

    recycle your cell phone

When cell phones are no longer needed, I guess we seem to think that they were at one time expensive, so there is no way we can just throw them into the trash. Plus that wouldn’t be very environmental friendly now would it? So apparently mine just get thrown in a drawer, never to be seen again.

There is a pretty neat solution for your old cell phones and it’s called CellForCash.com. They offer a rebate program for your old cell phone that can get you between $4 and $300 cold hard cash in your hands.

Why should I recycle my cell phone?

    • Cell phones are not good for the environment
    • Cell phones contain hazardous levels of lead when disposed in landfill conditions
    • Preliminary testing by the California Department of Toxic Substances Control has shown that cell phones are likely to be determined hazardous at end-of-life and will require management under Universal Waste regulations.
    • The lithium-ion and nickel-metal hydride batteries contain heavy metals such as cobalt, zinc, and copper.

They make it really easy to recycle your cell phone. You just put in your make and model, and they will tell you what it’s worth. They even will send you a free postage paid box for you to send in your cell phone. And the really great feature of their site? You can donate your rebate amount to the CellphoneBank.org website that helps the elderly and victims of abuse.

So do your part in helping the environment, while cleaning out the clutter in your house, and recycle your old unused cell phone at CellForCash.com.

Do you think that when Todd Rundgren wrote that song in 1983, he had any idea that he could own a computer that was indeed a drum one day? Well it’s 2007, and you can in fact own a bass drum that is actually a computer.

No really! It’s a bass drum made into a computer tower!

Tell all your drummer friends about this great find. You can order them at Spotswood Custom Computers in all different colors, including blue and purple!

I was hanging out on the PPP forums today, and Dana posted this awesome gadget that I just had to share! It’s a USB Cannon that shoots “Busty Babe” ammo 10 feet in the air. You can turn it’s direction by the arrow keys and the space bar on your keyboard. HAHA! Imagine this thing sitting on your desk at work. I want one!

Q: I shot my friend in the head with one of these, and he started crying. WHAT DO I DO?
A: Reload and shoot again. And laugh.

I just wrote about Facebook a couple days ago. I joined after my husband kept telling me I should. Now that I am on there, I’ve been having all sorts of fun with the different applications. I like the Top Friends one, and the Booze Mail the best. I’ve been sending out drinks to everyone today. After all it is Friday.

I was reading a blogging buddy today, Owen, who wrote a nice piece on Make money by surfing on FaceBook. When I first heard about it, I thought it sounded like a great idea, but then I read his post.

It’s called CashCliques and all you do is click on the ads. You can click on 10 of them a day, and you get paid a penny for each click. You can even get your friends to sign up which makes you even more money every time they click.

Doesn’t this sound like a pyramid scheme??? I’m not touching it with a ten foot pole, and I’m going to assume Facebook is going to make them remove it as soon as they find out more about it. I would think it is against their TOS, although I haven’t checked myself.
