    Popular Flickr Picture
    06 7th, 2008

Social networking is one of my most favorite things to do online. I love looking through people’s profiles, and visiting their blogs. Some of the best blogs I read I found on Blog Catalog or MyBlogLog . I also love looking through people’s pictures on Flickr and reading all the hot stories on Digg .

Something really fun happened yesterday, and I felt so damn happy and important! LOL! One of my Flickr pictures got Dugg. When I last looked at my popular Flickr picture I had 51,596 views! When I last looked at the Digg page I had 976 Diggs . That was so cool to me!

The picture is one I snapped of the TV with my camera phone while watching Wheel of Fortune.

What was interesting was the Digg haters in the comments, or the ones that just didn’t get the picture. The comments on Flickr were just about the same. The picture is so self explanatory, that I didn’t even think it was necessary to add a description, but apparently there are a lot of tards on these sites. Anyway………Go see , it’s pretty funny!

    Encryption for Vista
    10 26th, 2007

Security and encryption for your companies desktops has always been important, and you’ve probably gone to great lengths to keep all your data and applications safe. But what about your employees laptops? All your data and applications are walking out the door every evening at 5:00PM. How are you making sure that is secure?

With AlertSec software you can secure all your company laptops. They even have Encryption for Vista powered laptops. The last thing you want is to have one of your laptops stolen, and have all your private data leaked out. Make sure it’s secure using AlertSec software.

    Give Me A Home theater
    07 23rd, 2007

When and if I ever build a house, it is going to have a home theater in it. With the largest TV I can find, maybe that 103″ would work, but there will probably be something bigger by the time I get around to building. I want a popcorn machine, and a bar, and I want everything to run off remote control so I never have to get up. I’m a big dreamer huh?

    Cannon Powershot
    07 23rd, 2007

I was just telling Michael last night who I would like a new digital camera. The one I have is about 4 years old, and I rarely use it anymore. I always end up using his when I need to take pictures. My camera phone takes pretty good pictures, but not as nice as his digital camera does.

I’m really partial to Sony electronics, but lately I’ve been looking at the Canon Powershot’s. I really need to shoot video with it also. Nothing high quality, just good enough ones to put on You Tube. What do you guys think is the best digital camera on the market today?

    Robomower
    07 21st, 2007

Robomower Why do they say that the weekends are for relaxing when all you have to do is try to cram in all the work you let go during the week, in two days. I never get to relax with the all the laundry and the housework. And what about working out in the yard? Wouldn’t it be cool if you could have a robot lawnmower?

Well dream no more because there is the Robomower and Lawnbott #1 Dealer in the country. They sell more robotic lawnmowers than anyone else in the world, and they are available on the weekends if you need help with your new Robomower.

It’s fully programmable, and it mows your lawn for you while you sit back and enjoy a cold beverage. You can read more about the Robomower here, and get all the geeky details about this machine.

    Remote PC
    06 6th, 2007

RemotePC If secure remote access to windows PCs from anywhere via the internet is what you are looking for, then look no further than Remote PC remote access. Their software will allow you to access your home computer or network from anywhere in the world. Have you ever been at work, and just had to have something off your laptop you forgot at home? Just fire up RemotePC and grab what you need. It’s also really nice for small businesses, as it includes desktop sharing with up to 10 users. We used this a lot at my old company, so we could work those long nights at home. It’s super easy to configure, and easy to use. And best of all? It’s secure!

First AT&T Wireless became Cingular, now Cingular is becoming AT&T again. Wait…what? Why are they changing their name again? Well for starters AT&T has been a household name for over 125 years. They have locked down their branding, and everyone knows who they are. They have been the largest phone company, the largest cable television operator, and they are one of the largest employers with over one million employees.

In 2004 they merged with Cingular, and consumers no longer saw the letters AT&T associated with cell phone services. In 2005, they merged again with SBC to become the leading phone company service in the Midwest, then again in 2006 they merged with Bell South. How does one keep all these big company mergers straight? But they are back in the wireless game again, and you soon won’t be seeing any Cingular phones or stores around your neighborhood.

They have a plan on how they are going to launch themselves, and it’s happening in two phases.

    1. In the first phase, cell phones and cell phone services marketed by this new partnership will be offered under the combined brand AT&T Cingular. This will help wireless customers get accustomed to this change and learn to identify the two brands as one.

    2. In the second phase, the name Cingular will be dropped, leaving the new AT&T name as the only brand for this company’s cell phones and wireless services.

I think it’s a good move. AT&T is a highly branded name, and like I said, everyone knows, and trust them already. They should be very successful in gaining back the cell phone industry. Hopefully with all their company mergers, they will come out with some pretty high tech new AT&T cell phones and wireless gadgets. They’ve definitely got the knowledge behind them.

I found a wonderful article that list the 100 Web Apps for everything you will possibly need. They list them in 15 different categories that make it easy to find just what you need at a glance, including “Tools to Give & Take” and “Client Contact & Feedback.”

One of the tools they list under the “Storage” categories is Flickr. I upload the majority of my photos there to save storage space on my laptop, and to store my pictures I take from my camera phone. They have the easiest to use interface, with an email address that uploads them for you in a snap.

One tool I had never seen was Ta-da List, where you can keep track of all your busy projects, and share them with others involved in your project. You can even check task off as you get them done, just like a paper list.

I’ve only mentioned two of the one hundred, so make sure to go check out the other ninety eight web apps for everything you will possibly need. Great article!

    Bid4Prizes.com
    05 2nd, 2007

Bid4Prizes Ooooh, looky what I came across today! A website where you can win really cool prizes called bid4prizes. What you do is find a prize you want to win, and then place a bid on it. Instead of the highest bidder winning, the prize goes to the lowest unique bid. They also have game tips along the way to help you bid right, and get the most out of your bidding experience.

It’s a fun web site to play around on, and I’ve already bid on the 61″ HDTV, and the BlueFly shopping spree. So get on over there and see if you can win on a bid, or beat me out of my bid. I want a big HDTV so badly! My living room is just screaming for one!
